Improve education – Access to information allows people to self-educate. People can inform themselves about subjects that they may not have been familiar with using the Internet.

Social Institution’s

– Why do social institutions cause social change?

Social change is also caused by tension and conflict. Structural strain, deprivation, cultural revitalisation have been the major causes of conflict. Again social division based on class, caste, gender, ethnicity, estate, etc. have also been important sources of conflict in society.

Population

– How did population bring changes to social change?

Society’s demographics often change when births increase and/or people start living longer. A bigger population affects the dispersal and availability of resources. An increase in immigration or emigration also affects society. New inventions, discoveries, and the spread of ideas contribute to cultural changes.

Environment

– How does environment affect the social change?

Generally, changes in physical environment force migration of people in large numbers and this brings major changes in social life and cultural values also. Migration itself encourages change, for it brings a group into a new environment, subject to its new social contacts, and confronts it with new problems.
